Green Fields School was founded in 1967 by The Safdarjung Enclave Education Society and its foundation stone was laid out by Sri Sankaracharya of Jyptir Math. The school is affiliated to CBSE and has been run under the leadership of the chairman Mr. R.C. Khanna and director, founder and principal Mrs. Padma Khanna. A variety of extra-curricular activities complement the academic training imparted at the school.
