The Mother’s International School has been established by the Sri Aurobindo Education Society, which is an agency of Sri Aurobindo Ashram. The school shares its campus with the Ashram. It was founded in 1956 by Shri Surendra Nath Jauhar “Faquir”. It was founded under the blessings of Mirra Alfassa, The Mother, a spiritualist who was a spiritual partner and collaborator of Sri Aurobindo.

The Mother’s International School has three wings- Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary. Navchetna is the school’s annual magazine which contains sections of 4 different languages- Hindi, English, Sanskrit and French.

Vision and Philosophy: The Mother’s International School aims to help children realize their own unique potential by providing an education which aids their emotional, mental, physical and spiritual personality.

The school believes that in order to manifest that which is within a child, a progressive widening of consciousness is required. This leads to increased satisfaction and success of an individual. The Mother’s International school believes in imparting education that is beyond the frontiers of formal education and is actually for lifelong learning.
